A Back Up Plan For Communication After Disaster WHEN Cellphones Go Down

🕯 If you didn't know this Google offers a way where we can add a second telephone number to our phone.

If you think, "I Don't need two numbers!"

Most of us probably don't.  But what makes Google voice useful AFTER Disaster is When cellphones crash, we may not be able to send or receive calls or text messages for a LONG time.

But Google voice is not connected to the cellphone towers. So as long as we can get to Wi-Fi, you will be able to send and receive messages.

And unlike our cell carrier,  once it's down that's it till it comes back up.

But Google voice saves all text messages that gets through and also transcribes voice messages. 

You say you can send messages on Tiktok?

Once the war starts with China how long do you think we will have access to anything Chinese owned?

And you know how our friends and family are

Some use Instagram but hate Facebook and never uses.

Some use only Tiktok. 

Some only use Twitter. 

Some never checks email. 

But most all of us have a phone.

And if your son or daughter is trapped somewhere, and the cellphones are down, we will never know.

But IF we set up a Google voice number, and we can get to an emergency management center who will probably have wifi set up by then. While others are upset they can't text their husband or their Mom, we will be able to send messages from our phones still while others can't. 

I urge all of us to set one up. We don't have to use it, till we need it.

And when you set it up your Google voice number will have access to your same contacts list as your regular number. 

I only ask if you will think on these things and discuss them with your family and friends. 

Because IF OR WHEN Verizon or AT&T goes down for a while due to destruction,  we can still stay in touch.
