🕯 Because all the roads and highways are washed out, after 3 days with no help, this family decided to walk out of their town to safety. 

This is why it's important to have safety boots or hiking boots, a Flashlight,  gloves,  Safety goggles , a hard hat, etc. 

Because we may have to walk through Mountains of debris,  smoke, snow, dust, rain blowing extremely hard into our eyes slowing us down.

Also make sure you keep N95 masks to keep those toxic particles out of your lungs

We may have to climb over large piles of bricks, wood, glass, etc. We are going to use our hands for that. Safety Gloves will be extremely important.  Don't get the cheapest ones, because it will make a difference. This is the company I get my gloves from.

It may get very dark outside if all the electricity is out. So the Flashlight is necessary.  Waterproof if you can. Because our cell phone light doesn't give us the distance we need to see, as you will see in this video,  how whole roads fell off the mountain.

We may even want to consider knee pads too. Because in North Carolina there are no earthquakes so the people have less chances of falling. 

But After this Major Earthquake, the ground may keep shaking for weeks. Thousands of aftershocks in intervals of every few minutes initially after Major earthquake. 

They sell those military cargo pants that have slots on the inside that EMT and Emergency rescue personnel wear. 

I've been using the 5.11 brand for maybe 15 years. They are the most durable and very tough. They last for years. I was wearing a pair when I had my accident falling through porch, covered in bricks and debris,  they didn't tear at all. They use a ripstop material. They sell 5.11 for men and women, you'll see them on the ambulance driver's. They have a website or you can get them on Amazon.
