How It Began: Consistent ⭐ Steadfast

🕯 The Prophet Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him, teaches us that the most beloved acts of worship are those that are consistent, even if they are small.

Most of us know how difficult being consistent in anything is. It takes a Focused Determination. 

You have to want to do it. 

You have to have a burning Desire to be consistent at something.

When I first started in this work of #DisasterPreparedness It was 1999 and the whole Y2K scare was going on and no one really knew HOW to prepare.

The enemy scared the people warning of the worst that could happen and we should prepare. 

This was before social media so I put together this huge #DisasterPreparedness packet, and went to the copier and printed copies for everyone in my family,  everyone I could think of.

At the time I was way across the country from them so I had to buy these huge envelopes from the post office, stuff the packets inside,  and plaster enough stamps on each one for them to reach each person.

Then spent hours mailing them all off praying that my family members would at least open it and look at the material. As I do with every email I send to you.

But that's how I started.

I continued to send information in the mail, and as technology advanced,  I was able to send information faster through email and text messages.

And I just kept at it. Over and over, every day.

And I know Im guilty, Sometimes I'd send so much information I would get those nice emails saying please remove me from this list.

But the way my mind works, the internet or electricity could go out at any moment and I would rather have sent that LAST message today, just in case. Because maybe there is something in THAT message that God inspired me to send, that may help save someone's life.

By the time everyone had cellphones and texting was pretty much free I had a list of people I kept updated by text messages.

At that time, most had cellphones but few were on social media. 

So I figured out a way where I could forward tweets through text messages where it was understandable.

It was only a few people at that time, But anytime there was an #disaster or emergency anywhere,  those on my list usually knew before the media broke the news, and they kind of appreciated it.

I remember one year, I was in Phoenix,  and that particular day The Minister was in town for a Janaza. I believe this was 2010.

So my roommate at the time, was tasked with picking up a VIP from the airport and driving them to the Janaza,  and returning them back to airport afterwards.

So just like I do now, I was doing back then, every day, 15 hours a day, but it was mostly through text messages as well as social media.

If you think I send alot of emails,  can you imagine getting sometimes 20 text messages from me a day? Sorry🤐

At the time of the Janaza I was on another post at National House, so I couldn't go.

But during Janaza,  a 5.7 earthquake hit Washington D.C.

So like I usually do, I started sending text messages letting those who were on my list know what was going on.

Now I didn't know this at the time, but the VIP my roommate picked up was at that time a National Laborer.

So as the Earthquake shook DC, and neighboring states, my roommate was relaying the information I was sending to him, to the Laborer who he was with.

Now this Laborer was shocked because at that time, they worked for Large News organization But had heard nothing from them.

There was no media in the country outside of DC that was reporting on the earthquake.

And at that time, most people only followed their own local media.

But for what I do, I follow at least 3 media stations in every city in America and around the world.

So if there is a disaster in Albuquerque, I'd know just the same as if it was down the street.

So all the time I'm sending these earthquake updates most of the National news were not breaking it yet.

The Laborer asked my roommate where he was getting this earthquake information from.

So my roommate gave the run down on what I did.

After the Janaza was over, he was headed back to airport when it was finally being reported nationwide.  During that time I may had been sending at least 20 alerts every five minutes informing those on my list what was going on.

On the way to the airport,  as my roommate relayed the information, the Laborer was on the phone with The Minister relaying the information I was sending because at the time I was the only one getting information out.

It had not broke national news yet.

When the Laborer got to the airport,  they gave my roommate business card and told my roommate, "tell that brother to add me to every list that he has, and send me everything he sends out."

I can't remember how long you have been on my email list, but I told you that story to show how I started, at a frustratingly slow pace in 1999, but I just kept at it. Just trying to be consistent.

I told Allah I would do this until He stopped me from doing it.

And a few health problems and other challenges slowed me down, and even had me pause momentarily.

Because of what I do, I am constantly downloading and uploading an insane amount of data.

I have had several Instagram and Facebook pages with hundreds of thousands of posts that the enemy has deleted over the years.

My Twitter page I've had the longest, and it's at around 250,000 tweets..

Why am I telling you all of this?

My goal is to again upgrade the equipment and technology that I use to help me continue to do the work I do, more efficiently. And I need much faster internet.

I need newer and better and more equipment now.
